The science of happiness

Create your own positive state of mind

We’ve all been there, wishing we could recapture a sense of happiness that we feel we’ve lost. I’ve experienced it too. And it was when I realized that I wanted to appreciate the little things in life that I dedicated myself to learning how to transform my life.

I spent the last two years studying and implementing the (absolutely fascinating) science behind happiness. I was amazed to see how well it worked for me! My own happiness increased by around 40%, so I know this stuff works!

The next step in my experience was becoming a certified life coach. I began to learn how I can help others increase their will power and develop positive habits. I realized that everybody should have access to the information that makes us happier, be able to use it, and enhance their lives. So I created an 8-week workshop, where we can all work on bettering our lives, while connecting with each other.

The scientific method of happiness:

There are many misconceptions when it comes to happiness. Many people believe that it’s innate and cannot be changed. However, this is false, and there are a number of scientific methods behind improving your own positive feelings of passion and excitement. Here are just some of them:

Focus on human connection

Focus on human connection

Developing a good network of social connections is one of the largest factors in improving your feelings of happiness. People need to have close relationships to become physically and mentally healthier and overall more satisfied with their lives. These relationships may require work, but they help you live a long and happy life.

Offer kindness

Offer kindness

A great way to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression is by engaging in small acts of kindness. By offering even just the simplest gift, whether to a stranger or a friend, you tap into your brain's feel-good chemicals and provide yourself with longer-term feelings of happiness.

Become more grateful

Become more grateful

Often, people feel depressed because they feel like they don’t have a reason to be happy. However, they often have way more reasons than they believe. Expressing gratitude, even if it’s just for having a roof over your head, is a good habit to have, and you are able to train your mind to focus on the things that are good in your life and move away from stressors.

Learn the practice of mindfulness

Learn the practice of mindfulness

Meditation and mindfulness has become extremely popular because they allow you to teach yourself how to stay in the present and develop feelings of self-acceptance rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Instead of judging your emotions, you recognize them as being there and become more at peace with everything happening in your life.
